Mostly because of a number of projects were near completion and that usually indicates a push to make them ready for launch.

At the same time, the days are often filled with stress and altogether craziness. But the end is quite fulfilling and the result was a new Investor Relations section of rogers.com and the completion of a 2nd phase of the fido.ca re-branding.

I’m now looking forward to the next set of projects at work that will be ready to go live in another month and a half. In the meantime, it’ll be a little less busy and hopefully that will allow me to finish my Christmas shopping on time!

]]> http://matt.heitto.com/work/working-hard/feed/ 0 Community Portals http://matt.heitto.com/internet/community-portals/ http://matt.heitto.com/internet/community-portals/#comments Fri, 07 Nov 2008 17:18:28 +0000 admin http://matt.heitto.com/?p=104 I’ve been working on a few projects, dipping into the development way of things… and since moving to my wonderful little town of Georgina, I’ve thought about developing a little portal for it.  Currently, there isn’t much of one, except the local newspaper yorkregion.com.  If you ask me, this site doesn’t have much in the way of Georgina compared to some of the other communities it promotes.

I think having a central point to check out the upcoming events and provide an interactive spot to socialize  is a big one… and Georgina definitely has a lot to offer locals as well as those from the city.  There just isn’t much in the way of anything like that right now.

I went to register my domain this morning and realized someone bought it up only this week.  I started talking about it a couple weeks ago… what a coincidence!
